Method 1 with electrum-3.3.5-x86_64.AppImage file

   Electrum 3.3.5 for Lubuntu 16.04/Ubuntu 16.04 / 18.04

1. Download the file
wget https://download.electrum.org/3.3.5/electrum-3.3.5-x86_64.AppImage
chmod a+x electrum-3.3.5-x86_64.AppImage

to launch it, double click or write
./electrum-3.3.5-x86_64.AppImage


Method 2 with Electrum-3.3.5.tar.gz file

   Electrum 3.3.5 for Lubuntu 16.04/Ubuntu 16.04

Error message on ubuntu 16.04 with the default installation:

You are using pip version 8.1.1, however version 19.0.1 is available.

On Ubuntu 16.04 you need to install python3.6 and update pip to avoid this error above

Open a terminal and write:

nano install_electrum.sh

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:deadsnakes/ppa -y &&
sudo apt update -y &&

sudo apt-get install python3-setuptools python3-pyqt5 python3-pip -y &&

to install it:
sh install_electrum.sh

to launch it:

After Rebooting you could use this alias to launch electrum more easily:
electrum



   Electrum 3.3.5 for for Lubuntu 18.04/Ubuntu 18.04

Open a terminal and write:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install python3-setuptools python3-pyqt5 python3-pip
wget https://download.electrum.org/3.3.5/Electrum-3.3.5.tar.gz
tar xvf Electrum-3.3.5.tar.gz

to launch it:

python3 ~/Electrum-3.3.5/run_electrum
