VLC Media Player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. Bug and security fix release with a improvements for audio output on MacOS and with PulseAudio.
This release was necessary due to a security issue in the HTTP and RTSP server components, though this does not affect standard usage of the player.
